Jessica Volpe has been painting for the last 14 years. She believes in the importance of working from life. She loves to travel and seeks lyrical scenes from everyday life to render, merging a fascination for exploration with her artistic soul. Her often controversial surreal cartoon paintings evoke humour and mystery giving her work a unique flavour. Jessica Volpe has been showing her work in art galleries since 2001 and she has also completed a number of large private commissions. She is currently working on illustrations for her third children's book and is teaching art classes at University Settlement and is leading a youth mural project at Urban Arts. Most of her work is for sale. You can see more of her work on her website
